About Commerce Department

The Department of Commerce was established in 1972, at the very inception of the college. With a strong tradition of dedicated faculty and excellent academic results, the department has grown into a cornerstone of the institution. Faculty members actively use ICT tools for teaching, and a bridge course is conducted at the start of each academic year to familiarise new students with the curriculum and career opportunities in commerce.

The Student-Teacher-Guardian (Mentor-Mentee) Scheme is implemented to identify and address academic, social, and financial challenges early. Most students go on to pursue post-graduation, and all faculty maintain close contact with students to guide them on competitive examinations and career paths.
