About Management Science Department

The Department of Management Science was established in June 1997, with the objective of promoting specialised knowledge in the fields of Management Science and Computing. The department is committed to providing well-equipped laboratories and an industry-oriented syllabus supported by add-on short-term certificate courses, preparing students for rewarding careers in the IT and management sectors.

Faculty members actively use ICT tools and LMS platforms (Google Classroom) for effective teaching. An induction/bridge course is conducted at the start of each academic year to orient students with the course curriculum and career opportunities in the field.

Financial Accounting I

Understand accounting concepts; prepare accounts for business entities; build foundation for higher studies in accounting.

Operating System

Apply CPU scheduling; manage memory allocation; prevent and recover from system deadlocks.

Programming in C

Build algorithms; create program flowcharts; apply logic to enhance programming skills.

DBMS

Understand database concepts; construct and normalise data models; implement SQL for relational databases.

Java Programming

Apply OOP concepts — inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation; develop applications using Java Collection API.

MIS & DSS

Introduction to MIS/DSS; decision-making using frameworks and components.

Organisation Behaviour

Understand human behaviour at work; explore motivation, leadership, and organisational change.

Upon completion of the BCA (Management Science) programme, graduates will be able to:

Webinar “Being a Software Engineer” by industry experts from Neosoft Technologies & Infostretch Corporation; 91 students attended via Zoom (Dec 18, 2021).
Seminar Competition “New Technologies in CS” covering IoT, Cloud Computing, ML, Blockchain, AI; 12 students participated (Dec 24, 2021). Winner: Yash Jaiswal (BCA MS).
Orientation Programme for BCA & B.Sc. CS First Year students; 31 students attended (Feb 8, 2022).
