The Student Welfare Committee in an Autonomous College works for the overall development, welfare, support, and well-being of students by creating a safe, inclusive, student-friendly, and academically supportive environment in accordance with UGC regulations, NEP 2020, and institutional policies.

  • 1. Promotion of Student Welfare :

    Ensure the overall welfare and well-being of students. Promote a healthy, safe, inclusive, and supportive campus environment. Address student needs related to academics, health, safety, and personal development.

  • 2. Student Support Services :

    Facilitate student support services such as: Counselling and mentoring, Career guidance, Psychological support, Academic assistance, Financial aid information. Guide students regarding scholarships, freeships, and government schemes.

  • 3. Orientation and Induction Programs :

    Organize Student induction programs, Orientation sessions, Awareness programs on institutional rules and facilities. Help newly admitted students adjust to college life and academic culture.

  • 4. Coordination of Student Development Activities :

    Encourage participation in Co-curricular activities, Extracurricular activities, Cultural programs, Sports and fitness activities, Community engagement and NSS/NCC activities. Promote leadership and personality development.

  • 5. Promotion of Inclusive Education :

    Ensure support for Divyangjan students, Economically weaker students, Minority and disadvantaged groups, Outstation and international students. Promote gender equity and equal opportunities.

  • 6. Health, Safety, and Well-being :

    Organize Health check-up camps, Mental health awareness programs, Stress management workshops, Anti-addiction and wellness programs. Promote awareness regarding hygiene, nutrition, and safety.

  • 7. Career Guidance and Employability :

    Coordinate career counselling activities. Organize Skill development programs, Competitive examination guidance, Entrepreneurship awareness programs, Placement readiness workshops. Encourage participation in internships and training.

  • 8. Student Feedback and Participation :

    Collect feedback from students regarding academic environment, facilities and services, and campus life. Encourage student participation in institutional development activities.

  • 9. Coordination with Committees and Departments :

    Coordinate with IQAC, NSS/NCC units, Cultural Committee, Sports Department, Counselling Cell, Internal Complaints Committee. Ensure effective implementation of student welfare initiatives.

  • 10. Record Maintenance and Reporting :

    Maintain records of Welfare activities, Student participation, Counselling and support programs, and scholarship beneficiaries. Prepare reports for IQAC, NAAC, Governing Body, and annual reports.
