About Hindi Department

The Department of Hindi was established in 1972, at the very inception of the college, with the primary objective of cultivating knowledge and appreciation of Hindi language and literature among non-Hindi speaking students of the Marathwada region.

Distinguished faculty members — Prof. Motiraj Rathod, Prof. Suresh Puri, and Prof. Anuja Dalvi — have enriched the department through their knowledge and long years of dedicated service.

The department teaches Hindi at the undergraduate level to students of B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc. streams — both as a Second Language and as an Optional (Elective) subject. Beyond regular classroom teaching, the department actively organises guest lectures, elocution competitions, wall poster publications, essay writing contests, and literary celebrations — fostering a deep love for Hindi language and literature among students.
